INTRODUCTION

Sampling Theory, as is shown in books, explains that good sampling is a synonym of good performance involving a whole mining industry’s productivity. Nevertheless, a good praxis is not applied because many professionals, especially executives and managing work teams, desire the point. They are causing irreparable damages to the project performance, such as bad management, financial losses and, most critical, neglect.

Although the mining industry is even more concerned about good sampling practices, this is not enough trained to ahead three difficulties: (i) theoretical, due to there is insufficient knowledge about sampling theory; (ii) practical, professionals do not know where, how much and how to sample; and (iii) economical, the project feasibility.

Due to circumstances, International Metallurgical Consultants (InterMet) has the honor to organize this momentousness conference involving the following: sampling and geometallurgy. Both topics will be discussed in the same event which the participant will learn the practices and what is in and out of the market. About sampling, as was mentioned previously, will be discussed on critical topics such as sampling drills and In Situ Nugget Effect idiosyncrasy. The last one is highlighted due to the theoretical-practical lack causing impressive economic consequences, which is not adequately considered. About geometallurgy, as a discipline, performing properly is discussed, but a correct methodology is not spread according to the deposit types and the client’s needs as well as the investment such as drilling, chemistry and analysis or processing model.

First world-class experts and professionals in geology, mines, QA/QC plants, research centers and suppliers will discuss fundamental and technology topics and share implementation experiences with the best practices in the area at the event. This meeting has technical presentations and many activities, allowing effective networking to be mainly mining professionals who make decisions in their operations and projects. Everyone is welcome to SAMPLING-GEOMETALLURGY 2022.
