Based on 30 years of experience in research and consulting in mill liners, Prof Powell will present insights into the basis of selection of mill liners for SAG and ball mills.  He will demonstrate the use of the new MillTraj Version 2 in applying this knowledge.

• The function of liners – balancing life, cost and mill performance
• How liners affect energy transmission in mills
• Liner wear measurement
• Using rock/ball trajectory analysis to assist in liner selection
• Liner design for mill performance
• Accounting for liner mass loss in mill control
• Demonstrations and hands on use of MillTraj software including the Any Shape Feature for curved and worn lifters.
